Dr. Kodjo Essiem Mensah-Abrampa: Director General of NDPC dies at 68

Family sources say Dr Mensah-Abrampa died at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital on Monday, July 1, 2024, after he was rushed to the facility following a suspected heart attack.

The Director General of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC), Dr. Kodjo Essiem Mensah-Abrampa has been reported dead.

Family sources say Dr Mensah-Abrampa died at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital on Monday, July 1, 2024, after he was rushed to the facility following a suspected heart attack.

However, doctors pronounced the former lecturer and economist dead on arrival.

Tributes have been pouring in from all over the world for the former ,and UN worker, including from government officials, academia, and the development community.

As the Director General of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC), Dr Mensah-Abrampa played a pivotal role in shaping Ghana’s development agenda.
