The Member of Parliament for the Manhyia South Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, has asked the electorate to use the resurrection of Jesus Christ to pray for togetherness.
According to him, togetherness signifies love and care which are the basic ingredients for peace.
He said that the Manhyia South stands to gain immensely when the people are together because they properly plan towards development.
“Together with prayers we can move Manhyia South, Ashanti and Ghana forward with ease,” he said.
Dr. Prempeh in an Easter message said that the resurrection of Jesus Christ should urge people to forgive others.
“We should forgive each other just as Jesus Christ did for us with blood by dying for our sins”
He said: “It is only when we forgive each other that we can help one another when we are in hard times.”
Dr. Prempeh, who is also the Minister of Education, commended the constituents for their unflinching support for him.
“As your humble servant I will continue to work in the interest of the good people of Manhyia South and Ghana as a whole,” he said.
Touching on the COVID 19 pandemic, he said that Ghana and the rest of the world are not in good times, adding “We must be extremely disciplined in order to avoid the spread of the virus.”
“Preventive measures such as staying at home, social distancing, avoiding handshakes and eating healthy must be observed religiously for our own good in these bad times,” he added.
