E/R Assembly members receive motorbikes

The motorbikes, which is supplied by JSA Logistics Ghana Limited, is also to make the work of the 33 municipal and district assemblies (MDAs) in the Eastern Region efficient.

The Ministry of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development has presented 1,248 motorbikes to assembly members in Eastern Region.

The motorbikes are to facilitate and make governance at the local level effective and accessible.

The motorbikes, which is supplied by JSA Logistics Ghana Limited, is also to make the work of the 33 municipal and district assemblies (MDAs) in the Eastern Region efficient.

The regional minister, Seth Kwame Acheampong, who handed over the motorbikes on behalf of the Local Government Ministry, called for prudent use of the motorbikes.

The Dean of Presiding Members in the Eastern Region, Michael Ahwireng, who received the motorbikes on behalf of MDA members, thanked the government and promised to use the motorbikes for their intended purpose to improve rural development efforts.
