EARLY ELECTIONS: “EC Must Forget Laying GhanaCard CI in Parliament.” – Speaker Bagbin

The abuse and manipulation of such personal data of citizens especially VOTERS as is being promoted by the Electoral Commission can lead to anarchy.

The attempt to swap the Electoral Commission [EC] Biometric Database with the National Identification Authority [NIA] Database is a recipe for chaos…

The NIA is subject to Ministerial direction and is populated by Appointees of the President.

The National Identification Register [NIR] being compiled by the NIA, when diligently completed can aid in the implementation of ROPAL, however, any premature attempt to swap the two registers will lead to disaster.

It will be recalled that in the run up to the 2020 Election, the Electoral Commission rubbished the National Identification Authority’s National Identification Register [NIR] Database and the use of the GhanaCard.

WHAT HAS CHANGED?

In the heat of the SIM Card Re-Registration also turfwars between the National Identification Authority and the National Communications Authority and the Communications Minister on the NIR Database came to the fore amid kickback allegations against Ursula Owusu and Ken Attafua…

Beyond the Corruption and Procurement breaches lies an even more serious issue of data integrity.

The collection and storage of personal data of citizens by third parties which can itself to abuse is of great concern.

The abuse and manipulation of such personal data of citizens especially VOTERS as is being promoted by the Electoral Commission can lead to anarchy.

The National Identification Authority has indicated as it did in the case of the SIM Card Re-Registration that it is not under any obligation to complete its register to suit the timetable of any other Statutory Body such as the Electoral Commission for the purposes of a National Election to which the Constitutional Rights of Citizens may be violated if not captured leading to mass Disenfranchisement.

Early Elections in Ghana has become a real possibility as a result of the growing agitations of Ghanaians for the mass resignation and removal of Akufo-Addo, Bawumia, Ken Ofori-Atta, Charles Adu Boahen and the entire incompetent team for the excruciating hardships facing Ghanaians.

The laying in Parliament of the controversial Constitution Instrument by the Electoral Commission to use the GhanaCard as the only ID required for Voters has become even more contentious.

IMANI IS SILENT.

Ghanaians are resolved to be Citizens and not Spectators.

Ghanaians will resist any attempt by the Jean Adukwei Mensa and Bossman Asare led Electoral Commission to foist a new register designed to help in the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia Breaking the Eight Agenda.

The refusal of President Akufo-Addo to act on the two (2) Article 146 Petitions for the removal of Jean Adukwei Mensa as Chairperson of the Electoral Commission is very curious…

Even more curious is the loud silence of Sampson Lardi Anyinenyi, Ace Ankoma, Yaw Oppong and the OccupyGhana guys who said the President was only a conveyor belt or post office address in such Article 146 Petition cases and had no choice but to act immediately he received an Article 146 Petition…

THE LEGENDARY HYPOCRISY OF OCCUPYGHANA IS NAUSEATING.
