EC and Security Agents readiness for December 7 elections in Bawku and its environs

We take note of open and backroom channels of communication to appeal to and urge all our citizens to ensure silencing of the guns before, during and after the elections.

(1). We take note of the assurance from the Upper East EC boss, William Obeng Adarkwa, to our citizens that elections will be conducted in Bawku and its environs on December 7.

(2). We take note of the readiness and preparedness of REGSEC and the Security Agencies to provide an enabling, conducive and secure environment for the elections to take place.

(3). We take note of open and backroom channels of communication to appeal to and urge all our citizens to ensure silencing of the guns before, during and after the elections.

(4). Accordingly, in order to ensure good voter turnout, orderly voting, and peaceful counting and declaration of results at the polling stations, we respectfully request REGSEC, the Ministers of National Security and Interior to consider revising the curfew hours on December 7 ONLY from 6pm to 6 am to 9 pm to 5 am.
