The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has recovered some GH¢2 billion of its targeted GH¢5.7 billion owed by its customers.
The company has been on a debt-collection exercise in the past three weeks.
The month-long exercise has a week more to go.
The state power company’s managing director, Mr Samuel Dubik Mahama is optimistic ECG can rake in more in the last lap of the exercise.
Meanwhile, ECG says it intends selling its debt to private companies to recoup the rest of the debt after its own exercise.
