National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for the Ho central constituency, Edem Kofi Kpotosu has handed over a rehabilitated borehole to the people of Matse-Ando in the Ho municipality.
The project which cost about GH¢ 8000, was to tackle the water crisis in that community, since the borehole got damaged some years ago and had been left at the mercy of the weather.
At a brief handing over ceremony, the Parliamentary candidate underscored the importance of providing good and clean drinking water to deprived communities across the country, in line with the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 3) on safe drinking water.
He advised the residents to take good care of the borehole in other to extend its lifespan and to serve it’s intended purpose.
Kpotosu appealed to the people to throw their support behind him and the NDC’s presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, towards a resounding victory for the party in the December general elections.
Some of the residents took turns to express their gratitude to the PC for the gesture and assured him of their commitment to taking good care of the borehole.
