Education is the Bedrock of Development – Torgbi Kpambi Vedzesu V

Torgbi Kpambi Vedzesu called on parents, guardians, teachers and all educational workers to put their shoulders to the wheel to ensure that "our children are provided with the best quality of education for the forward march of the nation.

Senior Divisional Chief of Teshie-Aflao and head of Ga settlements has emphasized the need for society to invest more in the education of the younger generation saying, “Education is the bedrock for the development and progress of any nation”.

Torgbi Kpambi Vedzesu was speaking as the special guest of honour at the 20th anniversary and speech and Prize giving day of Kpogedi Christian Basic School at Hatsukorpe in the Ketu South Municipality of the Volta region on Saturday, October 5, 2024.

According to the traditional leader, nations that thrive in development and progress invested more of their resources in educating their citizens, calling on Ghanaian leaders to prioritize the education of the younger generation who are the future leaders of the nation.

“As we are all aware, education is the panacea for socio-economic progress of every nation – it is therefore incumbent on us to play our parts to ensure that we give the best of education to our children who are the future leaders of our dear country Ghana,” he emphasized.

Torgbi Kpambi Vedzesu called on parents, guardians, teachers and all educational workers to put their shoulders to the wheel to ensure that “our children are provided with the best quality of education for the forward march of the nation.

He commended management, staff and the students for their hard work over the years, praising the awardees for their excellent performance, urging them not to rest on their oars.

Headmaster of the school, Theophilus Mifetu congratulated the awards recipients and urged other pupils and students to emulate their hard work and dedication to learning in order to become useful adults contributing meaningfully to nation building.

He apealed to well-meaning individuals and benevolent organizations to support the school to address its infrastructure challenges which were hampering smooth academic work in order to improve upon teaching and learning outcomes.
