The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC h) as denied reports by a Security analyst, Adam Bona, on claims that the of some security personnel are missing from the special voter’s register.
According to the security analyst, documents he has laid hands on indicate that some members of the security task force can not find their names in the special voter’s register compiled by the EC.
He said the information he received further explained that the EC’s decision to ask such security personnel to go along with their voter ID cards to their various polling stations on voting day to cast their votes is something he believes can cause chaos at the election day.
Speaking to Citi FM’s Umaru Sanda Amadu on the Citi Eyewitness News on Wednesday, the Director of Electoral Services at the EC, Dr. Serebour Quarcoo, indicated that no information of such nature has gotten to the office of the EC, as such it must be treated as false news.
Dr. Serebour again indicated that the Commission has already compiled the list of special voters and and that it is very unlikely that such omissions or additions will occur.
