The Honourable Member of Parliament (MP) for the North Tongu constituency in the Volta Region, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has stated that Akufo-Addo led New Patriotic Party (NPP) government needs to be vaccinated against corruption in the country.
His comment was informed by the forced retirement of the immediate past Auditor General, Daniel Yao Domelevo, by President Akufo-Addo. The move which has been extensively criticized by Anti-Corruption Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and leading influential persons continues to receive damming condemnations.

In his contributions to the debate on the floor of Parliament on the State of the Nation Addresse, Okudzeto Ablakwa said the current government needs to be vaccinated against corruption.
“I wish to urge that in this era of Covid-19 vaccination, the Akufo-Addo government needs an urgent and immediate vaccination against corruption, the corruption that has engulfed the Akufo-Addo government.
“Apart from the Covid-19 vaccine, another vaccine that we need so urgently roll out now is the corruption vaccine,” Okudzeto Ablakwa stated on Thursday, March 11, 2021.
He said “We need the corruption vaccine and we need Mr. Domelevo back in office to continue to protect the public purse.”
