Youths of Fadama disappointed in Dr. Bawumia’s lies

The youths of new Fadama in the Okaikoi Central Constituency of the Greater Accra Region say they have regretted the trust they to put in Vice-President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia when he visited the area some twelfth month ago to grace an Islamic function.

According to them, Vice-President Bawumia has not been able to execute any of the promises he made to them during his campaign tour of 2016 and in recent times.

More importantly, the youth say Vice-president Bawumia promised them in November last year that he was going to re-construct the Answarudeen Islamic School which is close to the Chief Imam’s house – a promise that brought so much joy to them at the time, however, 12 months down the lane the vice-president has failed to do honor his promise.

“Even the Chief Imam is not spared in Bawumia’s lies. This is another unfulfilled promise he made to the National Chief Imam exactly a year ago, but as usual, no show. If he could not redeem this simple promise, how can we trust his new promises,” one of the youth lamented in an interview with Ghananewsonline.com.gh.

Another one added: “this act by the vice-president, cannot only be described as a deception but a big disrespect to the National Chief Imam”.

According to the youth, the people of Fadama voted for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, because they thought they had a brother in Dr. Bawumia who understand their plights and would be helpful to them.

They lamented that the promises of the vice-president are lofty and attractive but they have realized that they were just empty words.
