Family of Ajet-Nasam celebrates Xmas with the Elderly, Orphans at Ga-North

The family donated over 60 of the 5kg bags of rice, tins of Mackeries, Biscuits, Detegents, among other household consumable items.

As part of their humanitarian services to God and mankind, the Ajet-Nasam family in Accra used the yuletide to reach out to the elderly and orphans in the Opah community in the Ga-North Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.

The family donated over 60 of the 5kg bags of rice, tins of Mackeries, Biscuits, Detegents, among other household consumable items.

The family was led by John Ajet-Nasam, his wife Rebecca Ajet-Nasam and their children.

Speaking to the Media after the presentation, Mr Ajet-Nasam said the donation is part and parcel of the family’s passion for the needy.

According to him, the family randomly identifies a community where there are more vulnerable persons, especially the aged and children who have no direct parents to help them enjoy the festive season.

He noted that though the family might not be able to reach every elderly person in the community they believe those who receive would be able to prepare some meals and share with their neighbours.

“This is an annual event and as a family we decided to do this in our little way to celebrate the Christmas and the new year with these elderly people.

“We don’t have but with the little that God has given us, we have to share. In the Bible, God encourages us to share with our neighbours, we must be each other’s keepers, especially during this Christmas season.

“If Christ was born to save the whole world then we must also do in our little way to put a smile on the faces of those around us,” Ajet-Nasam added.

Some of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Ajet-Nasam family for the show of love to them during the festive season.
