Conveners of popular social media pressure group #FixTheCountry, appear unshaken in their quest to get politicians especially government, to fix the system on all fronts.
The group on Sunday June 13, 2021 commenced a new hashtag #WeGoDemonstrate ahead of a court case between them and the Ghana Police Service at the High Court.
The group, will be battling it out with the Police today Monday June 14, 2021 after the law enforcers attempt to indefinitely stop them from embarking on street protest, was quashed by the Supreme Court last week.
At the time of going to the High Court, the Police said it could not grant the wish of the campaigners because of COVID-19 restrictions hence their decision to seek an ex parte injunction.
But the quashing of the High Court injunction by the apex court appear to have fired up the group resulting in the new hashtag.

They say, they will not allow themselves to be stopped by the Police and that at the end of it all, they will hit the street as long as they are within the confines of the law.
It comes just a day after President of policy think tank IMANI-Ghana advised #FixTheGhana leadership to sustain their agitation on Twitter where the group was birthed.
Mr Franklin Cudjoe on Citi FM’s Big Issue last Saturday said “That is what got you meeting with National Security and the minister and what have you. I don’t think after demonstration you will get these anyway”.
He went on “I thought that they will rather intensify those campaigns and probably just organize press conference because of course you will reach a lot more people than a demonstration that you may not probably have control over.
I am just saying that looking at the dynamics of it, I would rather they even prefer that they continue the virtual platforms because that was what triggered the whole conversation.
