Tony Yeboah is the most prolific, clinical goal scorer & best striker in the history of Ghana, yet he is not in the media every week unlike Gyan. Abedi Pele is the GOAT of Ghana Football. There is no Ghanaian footballer that comes closer to Abedi Pele,s football honors, yet he is not in the media on a monthly basis unlike Gyan. These were the days before social media, but the world knew these two great legends (Tony Yeboah & Abedi Pele)

It does not mean that, he is the best goal scorer or best striker. Gyan is forcing himself too much to be recognised as the best, but he will not even make it on the list of TOP 50 Best Ghanaian Footballers of All Time.

What does it take to be a legendary player? Is skill enough or is it something more? In my opinion, it is the latter.
A legendary player has to have the necessary qualities to be an example for the next generations of footballers.
Truth hurts, truth bites, truth can be covered for a while, but it cannot be defeated.
Gyan is one of the richest footballers in the world✓. He contributed to Ghana football✓ He has the political connections, he is a philantropist, passionate about football & has a high profile marketing team✓
However, the hype about his football skills are over blown with all due respect.
