Former Black Stars player Raphael Dwamena goes home today

Dwamena had a chronic heart problem and had been playing with an Implantable Cardioverter-Defribillator before his demise.

Former striker of the Black Stars, Raphael Dwamena is set to be buried today, February 16, 2024, following his tragic demise in November last year.

His mortal remains has been laid to rest at the Adjiringano Astro Turf, with his family set to hold a private burial for him.

The 28-year-old sadly passed away after collapsing during an Albanian Superliga game between FK Egnatia and KF Partizani.

Dwamena had a chronic heart problem and had been playing with an Implantable Cardioverter-Defribillator before his demise.

He joined Egnatia on a one-and-half-year deal in January 2023 and managed to score 12 goals and nine assists in the first six months of his contract.

At the international level, he made nine appearances for the Black Stars between 2017 and 2018, scoring two goals.
