Personnel of the Ghana Police Service have arrested a popular footballer and sports commentator in the Sunyani Municipality – Richard Gyamfi, popularly called “Fire Man” for alleged murder. A search in his room by the police saw three severed human heads packed in his fridge.
Confirming the news to Sky FM in Sunyani, father of one of the deceased victims, Thomas Agyei, explained that the footballer reportedly lured his son, 13 years old Louis Agyemang Junior from a football park at Sunyani Abesim to his room and killed him.
The boy who is a twin had left home to the park for football training. However, all efforts to trace the young boy in the evening proved futile. He said a friend of Junior called Tweneboa informed the parents that they saw him in the company of “Fire Man”.
When they approached “Fire Man” he denied seeing the boy entirely. This gave the parents some suspicion especially when Tweneboa was still insisting that the two were seen together in the afternoon.
When they visited the House of “Fire man” they saw one of his doors locked. After interrogations, he said the keys to the room have been missing for sometime now.
The angry parents then gathered some “Area boys” to break the door to the room only to find the body of Louis Agyemang Junior lying postrate in cold blood with his head slashed off.
The area boys pounced on “Fire Man” and gave him beatings before handing him over to the Sunyani Abesim Police.
Further search by the police discovered human body parts in a sack. In his fridge, he had three human heads including that of Louis Agyemang. The Abesim Police have have since handed him over to the Bono Regional Police command for further investigations.
The three human heads and the body of Louis Agyemang Junior has been deposited at Best Care Mortuary at Mantukwa in the Sunyani West Municipality.
