Fuel station in Tindouf camp set ablaze; an indication of the continuing state of insecurity in the camp

The Polisario Front tried to circulate the story that the accident was just an electrical fault, and asked the owners of the station to confirm the same story, fearing the growing anxiety of the residents, and their fear of the security chaos that has become disturbing them, and exposing them to looting and daily theft.

According to a Tindouf-based Sahrawi association, the Forum of Support of the Tindouf autonomists (FORSATIN), a fuel station in Laayoun camp in Tindouf was exposed in the early hours of dawn Sunday, to a massive fire that led to the devastation of most of the station’s facilities.

There was talk of it being a theft followed by setting fire to the station to camouflage and hide the signs of the theft, especially since the back door was found broken, and there was talk about the theft of the station, followed by set fire to the fuel.

Whether the first or second version is proven, in both cases the station was robbed and set on fire by a perpetrator, especially since the cameras and the camera’s recording box were not found, which means that the one who set the fire was afraid that the box would not burn and his matter would be exposed.

The Polisario Front tried to circulate the story that the accident was just an electrical fault, and asked the owners of the station to confirm the same story, fearing the growing anxiety of the residents, and their fear of the security chaos that has become disturbing them, and exposing them to looting and daily theft.

This is an indication of the continuing state of insecurity in the Tindouf camp”.
