The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) launched its 2024 manifesto on Sunday, August 18, 2024, in Takoradi ahead of the December general elections.
At the event, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s presidential candidate, outlined a series of ambitious policies aimed at transforming the nation’s economy. Key among his promises is the abolition of the unpopular mobile money tax, commonly known as the E-Levy. He also pledged to introduce various incentives to stimulate business growth and create jobs.
“Ghana needs bold solutions to address the challenges we are currently facing, and that is what I am offering as I seek the mandate of Ghanaians. This manifesto outlines our comprehensive plan to elevate Ghana to the next level of growth and prosperity, under a selfless leadership committed to bold solutions for jobs and businesses.”
