Having received permission from authorities, the Church of Pentecost in the Aputuogya Assembly renovated the Bosomtwe District office of the Ghana Education Service.
The project, estimated at a cost of GH¢8,000, involves painting of the office block, replacing of doors, fixing of sign post and other netting works.
Led by its Presiding Elder, Daniel Appau, the gesture by the church, follows widespread public clamour to get the facility which was built over three decades, renovated.
Motivation
At a brief ceremony, Elder Appau stressed that the gesture was in line with the new five-year strategic vision of the Church (Vision 2023) dubbed “Possessing the Nations.”
It is also aimed at getting corporate institutions to support the directorate and schools in the District.
“Our attention was drawn to the deplorable state of the facility. And as part of our corporate social responsibility, we saw the need to rescue the building following the public outcry… And this is not going to end. We intend to extend support to other avenues going forward”, explained Elder Appau who also doubles as the Feyiase District Secretary of the Church.
Appreciation
On his part, the District Director of Education, Mr. Prince Agyemang-Duah expressed appreciation to the CoP for the kind gesture.
He also lauded Elder Daniel Appau, whose consent made the project a reality.
Present at the event was Pastor Emmanuel Yaw Adjei, the Feyiase District Pastor of the church, Mr. Emmanuel Ntim, the District National Service Director and a section of the public.
