The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has unveiled the fixtures for the 2024-25 Ghana Premier League Season, which will commence on Friday, September 6, 2024. This kickoff date comes 82 days after the conclusion of the previous season.
Defending champions FC Samartex 1996 will begin their campaign with an away match against Dreams FC. Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak will start their season by hosting the newly promoted Basake Holy Stars, and Asante Kotoko SC will face Karela United on the road.
The opening matchday promises to be action-packed, with former champions Medeama squaring off against last season’s runners-up, Accra Lions. Newly promoted Vision FC will challenge Berekum Chelsea, while Nsoatreman FC will compete against Young Apostles, and Aduana FC will go up against Heart of Lions.
Other intriguing fixtures include Gold Stars FC hosting Legon Cities and Nations FC welcoming Bechem United.
Additionally, the season will feature the first leg of the Super Clash between Asante Kotoko SC and Accra Hearts of Oak on Match Day 13, scheduled to be held at Baba Yara Stadium from December 13 to 16, 2024. The return leg is set for Match Day 30, which will take place at Accra Sports Stadium between May 2 and 5, 2025.
