Harvey Manson jr shared his experience from his trip to Ghana. The CEO of the Recording Academy had only good things to say, including the impact the country had on him.

“Ghana changed my whole mindset. The people, the smile you can see in the eyes. The excitement, the purity and the passion of the people,” he told Berla Mundi.

About musical talents in the country, Harvey affirmed his interest in Ghanaian acts, including Stonebwoy and Sarkodie.

 

The music industry giant also professed the Recording Academy’s interest in music from the African continent. He described the continent as bursting with creativity and art.

Harvey Mason also noted that the rise of African music is yet to reach its peak as it catches the world’s attention, which is eager to listen to and learn from African-rooted genres.

The Africa Nominee Brunch, organized by Guba Enterprise in partnership with the Recording Academy, is aimed at honouring African creators whose works have transcended beyond the continent, touching the world at large.
