A former District Chief Executive of the Jaman North in the Bono Region, Honourable Adane Ankomah, has opined that the country must bring into existence, a national development policy that will guide the manifestos and promises of political parties with regards to what they ought to do for the citizenry as far as political campaigns are concerned.
Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Mensah Abrampa, the Former DCE stated that all leaders of the various political party always give juicy and fat promises in request for votes to ascertain their ambition as the leaders of the country but later deny the citizens of the juicy promises they made. He Indicated that it is essential for the nation to have a national development policy which must bound all leaders of the various political parties to ensure that those policies are achieved by the country with respect to any party that comes into power to facilitate the development of the country.
Speaking about the retrogression of the country, he asserted that the political leaders cannot be blamed alone because most Ghanaians have failed to showcase a patriotic lifestyle towards the country’s development.
He indicated that most private business men refuse to pay tax which always affect the economic situation of the country hence the high rate of developmental deficit of the nation.
