He said this after Medeama beat Legon Cities 1-0 in a second week matchup of the Ghana Premier League 2024-2025 season.

Medeama Sporting Club head coach, Nebojsa Kapor, has expressed his unhappiness about the poor quality of the Legon Sports Stadium pitch.

He said this after Medeama beat Legon Cities 1-0 in a second week matchup of the Ghana Premier League 2024-2025 season.

This was the first time Legon Cities played at the Legon Stadium after adopting the edifice as its home base following multiple seasons where the club bounced around several venues. (Click highlighted text to watch

Kamaradini Mamudu scored in the 28th minute to give Medeama its second win in as many games after beating Accra Lions by the same score at the TNA Stadium in Week One.

Speaking after the game, Kapor expressed his disappointment over the nature of the pitch that Ghana’s Ministry of Youth and Sports called on the Ghana Football Association to get CAF to inspect as an alternative to host Ghana Black Stars games.

The Legon Stadium was picked as one of the stadia the Sports Ministry called on CAF to inspect in the wake of the Baba Yara Stadium’s ban by Africa’s football governing body. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“The ground should be better…this is something where (there is a) very big room for Ghana (to) improve” Kapor said.
