Nations FC, fresh off a victory against Aduana, displayed strong possession play but struggled to create clear-cut chances, often resorting to long-range efforts.

Nations FC and Hearts of Oak battled to a frustrating 0-0 draw at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Stadium on Sunday afternoon, with both teams unable to capitalize on their opportunities.

Nations FC, fresh off a victory against Aduana, displayed strong possession play but struggled to create clear-cut chances, often resorting to long-range efforts.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak, riding the momentum of their first win of the season, showcased creativity and intent but lacked the finishing touch, a theme that could jeopardize their ambitions this season if not addressed.

The draw leaves both teams with a shared point, but fans will be keenly watching how they respond in their upcoming fixtures. Nations FC will face Dreams FC, while Hearts of Oak prepare for a challenging encounter against Aduana Stars, a match that could prove pivotal for their season.

Berekum Chelsea vs. Asante Kotoko

In another gripping encounter at the Golden City Park, Berekum Chelsea and Asante Kotoko shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Kotoko started strong, taking the lead just three minutes in through Kyei Dwamena, who capitalized on a clever pass from Dauda Saaka. However, Berekum Chelsea leveled the score in the 60th minute when captain Fuseini Zakaria found the net.

This match marked Kotoko’s second consecutive draw, extending their winless streak to two matches since their opening-day victory against Karela United. Berekum Chelsea, having also secured just one win this season against Karela, will face Young Apostles next, while Kotoko prepares for a rescheduled match against Nsoatreman.

Medeama SC’s Perfect Run continues

At Crosby Awuah Memorial Park, Medeama SC continued their impressive form, securing a 2-1 victory over Basake Holy Stars. Defender Kamaradini Mamudu opened the scoring in the 58th minute, but Holy Stars quickly responded with an equalizer from Isaah Yakubu just two minutes later. However, Medeama’s Diawisie Taylor sealed the win with a stunning long-range effort in the 65th minute, marking their third consecutive victory this season.

Despite dominating possession (54%-46%) and attempting more shots (14-6), Holy Stars remain winless since their opening-day success against Hearts of Oak. Medeama will next face Heart of Lions, while Holy Stars gear up to play Vision FC.

Heart of Lions vs. Bibiani Gold Stars

The action continued at Kpando Sports Stadium, where Heart of Lions and Bibiani Gold Stars played to a goalless draw. Both teams entered the match unbeaten and eager to maintain their records. Gold Stars, aiming for a third consecutive win, posed a constant threat but were met with a resilient Lions defense.

With neither side able to capitalize on their chances, the match ended in a stalemate, leaving Lions in 4th place with six points and Gold Stars a point ahead in 2nd position. Heart of Lions will next take on Medeama, while Gold Stars travel to Samartex.
