This occurred due to a burst on the transmission line from the Kpong Treatment plant to the Dodowa Booster Station, affecting the Northeastern part of the metropolis. The management of GWL wishes to assure the public that the situation is under control and everything humanly possible is being done to complete the repair work and restore supply. The Public is assured that, barring any unforeseen predicament, the project will be completed by close of day of Wednesday 28th August 2024 and supply will resume immediately the project is completed. Meanwhile, the company has put in place measures to serve the affected areas so the impact will not be adverse.
Hence, essential service providers like the hospitals and schools are being served with water tankers.
The management of GWL deeply regrets the inconvenience that the interruption has caused and pleads with consumers to bear with the situation.
