Professor Emeritus Stephen Adei, a leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and a former Board Chairman of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), has strongly opposed the potential deal with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) from India.
He has threatened to stage a solo protest if TCS is allowed to take over domestic tax mobilization in Ghana.
Adei labeled the deal as “immoral, unpatriotic, and evil,” emphasizing that the government should halt it immediately.
He argued against handing over Ghana’s domestic tax mobilization to an Indian company, pointing out that a Ghanaian company had emerged as the top contender in the competitive bidding process.
