According to reports, the 28-year-old winger, who joined Cities in the second half of the 2023-24 season, is close to finalizing a two-year deal with the Phobians.
His performance at Cities, where he contributed two goals and one assist in 14 matches, caught the eye of Hearts head coach Aboubakar Ouattara.
Wontumi FM in Kumasi has confirmed that Appiah Asare has been training with the Phobians for weeks and has impressed the technical team.
Though the deal is reportedly 60% complete, it is expected to be finalized in the coming days.
Initially, rivals Asante Kotoko had shown interest in the player, but the move fell through, allowing Hearts to move in on the winger.
