Ningo-Prampram District is one of the fast growing districts in the country which is becoming attractive to people, however it faces challenges like social amenities.
It is against this background that the District Chief Executive of the Area (DCE) Hon. Jonathan Teye Doku has expressed his unflinching commitment to open Ningo- Prampram up to the world and make it more attractive to Investors and the world at large.

The DCE disclosed this on Thursday during an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii sen programme hosted by OB.
According to him his resolve to open the area up to investors has been necessitated by his insatiable quest to leave a legacy that can translate into economic benefits for the people and generations unborn.
“if you look at the rate at which people are moving into the place, we need to do something else we will lose out to opportunities”, he said.
He indicated that as the DCE of the area he has done a lot in terms of development but there are still some challenges hence the need for him to do more in order to assuage the challenges of the area.
Hon. Teye Doku attributed the challenges to inadequate common fund for the District which he said is gh300,000.00 per quarter.
“OB look as a leader I know there will always be challenges. Last time someone was talking and I told him that If I give you gh 40,000 to go and buy me a car and you bought Toyota Corolla and I tell you why didn’t you buy a range rover. Am I being fair to you?, he didn’t get but when I explained to him he understood”, he stressed.
The DCE was however optimistic these challenges would be a thing of the past since the District is one of the two districts chosen by the Local government Ministry with support from GIZ to furnish it with a scientific data of all properties within the District.
He said this would enable the District to take advantage of the system and rake in more revenue as part of its internally generated fund (IGF) drive to accelerate development in the area.
Hon. Teye Doku therefore called on all and sundry to support him put Ningo-Prampram on the world map since the district is well resourced to achieve that feat.
