Nigerian actress, Ini Edo, has shut down rumours of an impending marriage, stating that tying the knot is not a priority for her at the moment.
Speculation about her getting remarried arose in September 2024 after she shared a photo of herself in a traditional Efik bridal gown with a romantic caption on her social media.
In an interview with Nigeria’s Premium Times, Ini Edo clarified that the post was related to her upcoming four-part series, My Fairytale Wedding, and had no connection to her personal life.
“It was just a promotional post for the series, not an engagement announcement,” she explained.
When asked about her thoughts on marriage in real life, the actress made it clear that it’s no longer a focus for her. “I’m not crazy about marriage; I am crazy about having a solid relationship. I’m not hoping, and it’s not any of my prayer points,” she said.
Ini Edo was previously married to Nigerian-American businessman Philip Ehiagwina. The couple wed in 2008 but divorced in 2014.
Since then, the star has focused on her career and personal growth, and while she values meaningful relationships, re-marrying is not on her agenda.
