In defense of Wiyaala “the Lioness”/

Wiyaala's music gets less publication in Ghana than her body.

She’s one of our most under rated music acts despite the fact that she does music of African origin. The quality of her acts compares easily with the Brenda Fasis, Youssou N’Dour, Salif Keitas etc.

Her performances are always electrifying. When Wiyaala is on stage it will not be too far fetched to see in her the Fela Kuti, without the drama and controversy.

While the rest of the world adores her, in Ghana is she body shamed just because she’s androgynous. Some years back I can recall and yet refuse to repeat vile commentary made about her body. And some of the comments came from so called entertainment “pundits”, bloggers and to quote one of her favourites words “whatever”

Glorified goggle searchers who are given access to the microphone because in the land of the dimwitted, the half-wit is called a pundit when they have no technical knowledge of the subject matter.

In recent times she posted herself having a good time at the beach and now that they’ve seen that she’s too much of a woman for them to handle they want to culture-shame her.

Wiyaala’s music gets less publication in Ghana than her body.

At 37, she’s hot. She’s got the body supermodels pay thousands of dollars to get. She will flaunt it and you may hug a transformer.

The Lioness of Africa. Queen, you are sexy oh! Proper Baby Nayoka! Roar!
It’s the waist beads me.
