Is it now you realize there are constituents to focus on? – Mensah Bonsu asks Adwoa Safo

“My niece has spoken but I want to know whether she just realized she had work to do in her constituency. We are here because she shirked her responsibilities for a year and never attended to them.

Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has questioned Sarah Adwoa Safo’s claim that relieving her of her Ministerial duty will afford her the opportunity to concentrate on her constituency.

Adwoa Safo in a letter to the President of Ghana after handing over as Gender, Children and Social Protection Minister said the new development will afford her the opportunity to consolidate the gains made in Dome Kwabenya by the government.

But reacting to the letter, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu questioned the Member of Parliament on whether it is now she realizes she has constituents.

He wanted to know whether she just realized she has constituents to attend to after leaving them for a whole year.

“My niece has spoken but I want to know whether she just realized she had work to do in her constituency. We are here because she shirked her responsibilities for a year and never attended to them.

I will end here so that we see what happens tomorrow. I can’t say much,” he said.

Meanwhile, Parliament is said to have informed the Electoral Commission that her seat is vacant.

This was after she failed to honor the invitation of the Privileges Committee of Parliament.
