Is Paa Kwesi Nduom Infected with “The Dead Goat Syndrome”?

Until the rampant scandals in the Banking Industry were exposed by Ken Ofori-Atta and Dr Ernest Addison, my respect for Paa Kwesi Nduom was on a high pedestal. Never had I thought that there shall come a day when it will drop in a steep freefall to land at the same dump that the skin of the “NDC dead goat” was torched. How can such a supposedly respectable person blow his horn with absolute arrogance in a fight to legitimise that which can never be proper?

From the relevance of all that happened in our midst, my opinion is that Dr Nduom is a business jester, who is more obsessed with employing laughable tactics to keep the money of clients he seemed to have swindled as he climbed the ladder of the rich, famous, and mighty. So, he started a bank to gather enough cash in order to finance his companies? I am told that most of the companies that had taken loans from his Bank, GN Bank, were his own that numbered some 49 private entities or thereabout. Anyone would say that Dr Nduom must be a very intelligent person to have attained the status that he had, until they realised that it was the rearrangement of people’s deposits that consolidated his fiscal strength to become the powerful man that he was.

It is only in Ghana that such a person would be allowed to run his mouth in such a sore manner as if an act of gross blasphemy was perpetrated against him. I demand that he comes out to apologise to Ghanaians, generally, and to his customers, specifically, for taking them on this hayride of deception. What is it with us that we seem to vandalise our own liberties only to find ourselves in shackles having violated all the rules of fair play? A few days ago, the President, His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo gave instructions for all outstanding customers of the defunct banks, financial institutions, savings and loans, etc to be reimbursedd their full deposits.

Mr Paa Kwesi Nduom would not have done same under the circumstances even if he could were he President of this country. So he should shut up and let the President finish wiping up the mess that the NDC created by allowing unscrupulous business men to unethically acquire the wealth of Ghanaians through ingenious means of chicanery.

In another country, say the USA where he bought an ailing bank to resuscitate, using the meager deposits of unsuspecting Ghanaians, he would serve a lengthy jail sentence, as a friend suggested, maybe 150 years, that being a bit too many years though. I am also informed that he made a gargantuan transfer from Ghana to the USA of over $60 million US Dollars. Let the deceived employees and cheated customers of Nduom’s financial institutions be told that their money was transferred to the USA to be engaged in his personal business enterprises.

The thing about NDC’s Flagbearer, former President John Dramani Mahama, is that under his presidency, there was so much flatulence around that the assorted smells blended into a subliminal stench that no fart could be pinned to a single bloated stomach. They all ate from one another as they ravaged the nation in a hyena-like battle for a carcass, and in this situation, we the nation were the unfortunate victim.

I am really sorry for Ghana. I am really sorry for the effort of the good people of this country who are doing all they can to restore dignity to our very existence in spite of the sardonic manner with which the economic cannibals ruptured our hearts, tearing at our very core as if in a tug-of-war to “survive or not to survive”!!!

Shame on you, Paa Kwesi Nduom, you were the last person I thought would behave so lowly. You are inciting your unfortunate employees against the government when you know all too well that they were your victims first before being those of the fiscal cleanup exercise. If you had not conducted yourself in such a deceitful manner, and if you had not preyed on the fortunes of unsuspecting customers, and if you had not connived with certain corrupt NDC officials as I am told you did, and if you had not tried to develop exponentially using the undue advantage you had against innocent people, your employees would not have lost their jobs.

Some of those respectable employees do understand that they were victims of your legendary debauchery! They do understand that the needful had to be done by way of a cleanup exercise to sanitise the financial sector! I am sure that almost all your employees, given that they are shown the true picture of “NDUOM’s SCANDAL and DISHONESTY” would appreciate to a large extent the pragmatic manner with which government contained the situation. They would understand that not acting to bring a measure of sanity into the system could not only have collapsed the Bank of Ghana, but the whole nation, too. They will give #4More4Nana.

By the way, I just heard, hot and fresh off the grill, that you have people who leak information to you that you sell to the American CIA. Please come clear on this! Chai, what a nation wrecker and traitor! Now we know that you are neither a politician nor a business man, but a quack in almost everything you do!!!
