It Is Waste Of Time- Hopeson Unfazed Over Dismissal

As the 2024 presidential election approaches, it remains to be seen how these developments will impact the party’s unity and overall chances of success.

Hopeson Adorye, a member of the Alan Kyerematen campaign team, has reacted to his recent dismissal from the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) by stating that he is not moved by the decision.

Adorye, along with three others, was dismissed from the party for publicly endorsing a candidate other than the elected 2024 presidential candidate of the NPP.

The other affected members include former general secretary Nana Ohene Ntow, former communications director Yaw Buaben Asamoa, and former MP for Madina, Boniface Abubakar Saddique. In a statement issued by the NPP’s general secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, it was explained that their actions were a clear violation of the party’s constitution.

However, Adorye’s response to his dismissal during his appearance on Asaase Breakfast Show on Monday November 20, demonstrated his determination to continue supporting Kyerematen.

He referred to the party’s decision as a “waste of time”, stating that it is common knowledge that endorsing a different candidate would result in forfeiture of membership.

Adorye emphasized that the dismissal will motivate him to work harder to ensure Alan Kyerematen’s success in the upcoming 2024 presidential elections.

Expressing his nonchalant attitude towards the dismissal, Adorye said, “I know where this orchestration is coming from. I am their headache. This will encourage me more. I am going to work hard to make sure Alan Kyerematen becomes the next president of Ghana.”

The NPP’s decision to dismiss these party members has further fueled speculation about internal divisions within the party.

As the 2024 presidential election approaches, it remains to be seen how these developments will impact the party’s unity and overall chances of success.
