There’s nothing as painful as someone in whom you have entrusted all your trust and love to and for that person to take that valuable and cherished trust for granted. In fact it’s like running a sharp dagger through one’s heart.
The above is the reason, the rank and file of the NDC and Ghanaians as a whole are justified in their expression of rage in the betrayal meted out to them on the 24th day of March, 2023 during the approval process of six (6) ministers in parliament.
There are several questions Ghanaians are struggling to find answers to anytime they rack their minds around what actually influenced the decision of some of the minority MPs to embark on such a treacherous act.
Were they hurting the rank and file of the party, whom they have fallen on and will soon fall on if their intention is to win the 2024 election or the leadership of the party or Ghanaians whose interest the National party seek to protect with their directives or they are revolting against the change in parliament ?
Will the rank and file of the great NDC party or the delegates be justified to show those treacherous characters the exit, should the national party, through their investigation give out such 5th columnist?. Remember, the continuous stay of a thorn in any wound won’t guarantee a proper healing of such a wound.
It is an undeniable fact that, the damage caused by this very breach of trust and treachery will haunt the NDC for a long time until the national leadership do the needful by identifying the traitors. But as to how they do it , it’s up to them. I trust in their wise judgement and wise counsel.
My little hope is that, even in all of these, Ghanaians, are still holding the NDC to a very high standard, reasons they will blame the NDC even more than the appointor and the majority in parliament who, despite the situations the country finds itself, still amazingly add up to the number of ministers . At least majority of the minority stand with the larger NDC’s position, for that matter, the position of Ghanaians.
Ghanaians at the moment seem not to care about what the NPP does because they are aware the NPP is a failed entity when it comes to patriotism and national development. They are capable of doing anything, even against the state so far as it benefits them as a party irrespective of how the citizenry feels.
It’s therefore sad and unfathomable how some minority members in parliament decided to join hands with these nation wreckers to put pains in the heart of many Ghanaians at the time they were expecting the minority whom they held to higher standards to rescue them.
The grassroots and the rank and file of the NDC can’t afford to let go the rescue mission at this moment because of the few who only think of their stomachs instead of the greater goods of the majority of Ghanaians. I stand to be counted in this rescue mission, it’s now or never.
