John Mahama clears NDC’s Election Debts with GHS1,953,000 Cash Donation

The donation is also to support the organization of the NDC's Internal Election Conferences

 

 

Former President John Dramani Mahama has once again gone to the aid of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) by lending his financial support.

The flag-bearer of the NDC in the 2020 general elections has donated a total amount of GHS1,953,000 to support the conduct of the party’s constituency and regional internal elections.

The donation consists of an amount of GHS853,000 to the national party leadership for the organization of regional election conferences across the country, and an amount of GHS1,100,000 to the Electoral Commission (EC) to clear debts owed them by the party in respect the just-ended constituency elections.

A release signed by the party’s National Comunication Officer – Sammy Gyamfi expressed the NDC’s gratefulness to the former president.

“The party is most grateful to His Excellency and his generous sponsors for coming to the assistance of the party at this crucial time,” the release noted.
