The flagbearer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has drawn a sharp contrast between himself and his main rival former President John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), ahead of the upcoming general elections.
Speaking during a community engagement on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, in the Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency of the Eastern Region, Dr Bawumia described a vote for the NPP as a vote for a “brand new, tear-rubber president” equipped with fresh ideas to tackle Ghana’s challenges.
“Do you want a brand new or second-hand? If you want brand new then vote for Bawumia and Kojo Oppong Nkrumah,” he stated.
