Joshua Ansah replaces Yaw Baah as TUC Secretary General

He takes over from Dr Anthony Yaw Baah  whose tenure as Secretary General of the Congress ended.

Joshua Ansah, the Deputy Secretary General of the Trades Union Congress (TUC) has been elected substantive Secretary General after he contested unopposed in the Congress’ election held at its Congress at the Pentecost Convention Centre at Gomoa Fetteh in the Central region.

He takes over from Dr Anthony Yaw Baah  whose tenure as Secretary General of the Congress ended.

The Congress also elected Bernard Owusu as its Chairman to replace Alex Opoku-Nyarko.

Mr. Owusu served as National Chairman of the General Transport Petroleum Chemical Workers Union (GTPCWU) until his election as Chair of the TUC.

He polled 347 votes to defeat Alex Opoku-Nyarko, who was seeking to extend his tenure.
