Ghana’s Black Stars players Kamaldeen Sulemana, Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer who were expected to join the Black Meteors team for the upcoming CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco have withdraw from the squad.
Hamburger in Germany forward Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer was in the team for the upcoming 2023 CAF U-23 Championship in Morocco which serves as tickets to the Olympic games in Paris next year.
English Premier League side, Southampton FC forward Kamaldeen Sulemana has also opted out of the final Black Meteors squad for the upcoming tournament which starts on June 24.
After the game against Madagascar on Sunday, it has been confirmed that both players have decided to take a rest and later join their respective clubs to starts pre-season.
With this latest development, FC Nordsjaelland star player Ernest Nuamah will be the only Black Stars player to join the Black Meteors team.
19-year-old Nuamah and Kamaldeen played an integral role as Ghana earned a point away at the Mahamasina Municipal Stadium on Sunday but Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer was an unused substitute in the game.
