I was born on La Homowo Day, 22nd August many years ago to the current La Jaasetse Nii Odotei Adjei…
Mine has been a preordained mission to serve the interest my People, my Countrymen and my Motherland Ghana.
My long battle to restore a balance between the return of La Stool Lands and guarantee the Ghanaian State benefits from the use of La Lands started decades ago with my leadership of the GaDangme Youth which led the fight against the deliberate policy to drown the Ga and Dangme languages, culture, heritage and Loot their lands and the Ada Songhor Salt.
Prince-Derek Adjei is remembered by many NPP people for stopping Former President Kufuor from annexing Accra Lands for himself unconstitutionally as FREEHOLD because he wanted to take the prime Ridge Land as his retirement home and office complex as part of his Emoluments and be able to like Sir John will it TO HIS FAMILY FOREVER.
Many in the NDC do not remember that my call on Former President Kufuor to be denied Freehold Ownership of the land included Former President Rawlings who had illegally annexed a Ridge Bungalow near the Ridge Roundabout, and that when he dies that Bungalow and the Lands on which it is be returned to the State or be returned to the Osu Stool in trust for the original Land Owners as has been done via E.I. 432 which returned some 409acres of Ashanti Lands to the Original Land Owners through the Asantehene in trust for the Subjects of the GOLDEN STOOL.
As Head of State, Chairman Rawlings lived in the Osu Castle and without due process illegally appropriated the Ridge Bungalow for his family and moved to live there with them as President until his demise in 2020.
It is only proper that the Rawlings Ridge Bungalow and State Lands be retrieved from the family which like the Kufours have multiple houses in Accra at Airport, Ajirignarnor and elsewhere in Aburi, Kumasi, Tefle among others and be returned to the Original Land Owners as stated in Article 20 of the 1992 Constitution, if the State has no further use of the Land.
President John Agyekum Kufuor had earlier in his second term between 2005 – 2008 systematically corrupted all three arms of government by fraudulently allocating State Lands to many cronies including his Cabinet Ministers and his Cabinet Secretary Mr. Mpare.
President Kufuor used the State Sponsored Landgrab to corrupt the Judiciary, where he had several judges and lawyers including Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Woode, her successor Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo, Akua Kuenyehia of the International Criminal Court and several others fraudulently allocated State Lands in Cantonments, Airport Residential Area and Ridge.
President Kufuor silenced the Legislature by granting Speaker Ebenezer Begyina Sekyi Hughes and several Members of Parliament some of the Prime State Lands, notably among them Senior Ministers J.H. Mensa and Yaw Osafo Maafo.
The International Community, Embassies, key Civil Society Organisations like IEA, Multinational companies and local crony companies like Zoomlion were given some of the looted La Lands under the fraudulent State Sponsored Land Looting.
The Security services were not left out, whereas the Inspector General of Police Mr. P.K. Acheampong was fraudulently allocated State Lands others in the military were not left out while the Army as an institution began to aggressively annex La Lands leading to an official petition by the La Mantse on the illegal Military Cemetery and large tracts of La Lands including the La Beachfront.
The relocation of the Ghana Armed Forces from Burma Camp to Saglemi though a good policy decision is largely defeated by the Military annexation of Kpletso near the illegal Military Cemetery at Airport Hills.
There is an attempt by some well-connected-persons through the so-called “New Accra City Project” to conduct the largest Land Heist in modern history.
The targeted Lands to be stolen are between the Airport City and the 37 Military Hospital and will include Lands currently occupied by the DVLA, Ghana Police Service and other entities including the Military’s Base Ordinance Unit which is being relocation to the disputed Kpletso land.
Kpletso is remembered for the Military brutalities of 15th April, 2021 when indiscriminate Shooting and Assault by men in Ghana Army uniforms resulted in several persons including journalists injured.
Sadly, three of the Kpletso victims have subsequently died of their injuries while President Akufo Addo has kept silent despite being aware.
The Military High Command promised Ghanaians it was conducting an investigation into the Kpletso Shooting and Assault by armed men in Ghana Army Uniform but is yet to make the report of its findings public.
The Ghana Police Service whose senior officers including DCOP Kwesi Ofori and other commanders were present during the Kpletso Shooting and Assault have decided to ignore Petitions and Reminders to the Inspector General of Police.
There have been Article 146 Petitions for the removal from office of Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Woode, Justice Sophia A. B. Akuffo and Jean Adukwei Mensa all of whom were beneficiaries of the fraudulent allocation of prime State Lands.
Whereas the Georgina Theodora Woode Petition was acted upon by President John Evans Atta Mills leading to the retrieval of the International Students Hostel Land which was being stolen by some high profile personalities to the State and subsequently used to build the current Foreign Affairs Office Complex;
President Akufo Addo has in breach of the 1992 Constitution refused to act on the Sophia Akuffo and Jean Adukwei Mensa Article 146 Petitions.
Ghanaians are resolved to be Citizens and not Spectators; demand the investigation of all State Lands by the Special Prosecutor leading to the retrieval of these State Asset including Bungalows on the Land and the prosecution of all those involved.
The immediate investigation of the Stephen Ntim State Lands Stealing and Selling Scam as well as the Civil Aviation Landgrab are an imperative for a country bankrupt due to the annexation of State Funds, State Assets including State Lands.
22nd August, 2022 will mark yet another La Homowo and my birthday; I, Prince-Derek Adjei, will once again present an enhance La Road Map Document detailing how all these Land Looting can be ended to the benefit of the State, its citizens and the Original Land Owners.
Fortunately, the Digitized Map of Accra-Ghana includes LA LANDS thus piloting the proper land administration must start with La Lands which incidentally are the most valuable and most looted.
La has a Stool Lands Secretariat which requires to be fully fitted to develop a comprehensive Land Documentation Centre which will be in synch with the Lands Commission records offering concurrent approval of all La Lands which transactions will be done through the Bank and finalised by a Seal of the La Mantse.
The new Land Law ACT 1036 requires all Stool Lands Secretariats to register all Lands and also demands that all Land transactions are made transparent and all fiduciary to be accountable or be liable to stiff fines and prison sentences.
La has a Community Bank through which all La Land transactions at all levels must be conducted so there is paper trail and possible tracking of those involved in the transaction; this will also boost the La Bank.
La has a Community Radio station which can do the necessary public education required for the successful implementation of the La Road Map.
La Lands were used in 2007 to balance the budget according to then Finance Minister, Hon. Kojo Baah-Wiredu, Ghana can be rescued from the near bankruptcy with the proper management of La Lands and Equity rather than Compensation in various ventures on La Lands accruing to the La through the next La Mantse in trust for the Subjects of the LA STOOL part of which can be utilized by way an Endowment, Education and Heath Fund.
My birthday present to Ghana, Ghanaians and the La People is the La Road Map Document which details how to solve a myriad of problems, offering practical solutions and improvement of intangible assets particularly to the benefit of the Youth and generations yet unborn will be presented to the Government of Ghana [all three arms and relevant agencies], La State, Civil Society and the International community.
Ghana is Broke but not yet beyond redemption;
TOGETHER WE CAN If every Ghanaian everywhere developed a Road Map for a segment of Ghana and dedicated themselves to policing it through being adopted as policy to implementation.
I wish to use this opportunity to call on the Speaker of Parliament to expedite action on the La Tradefair Redevelopment Project Petition and the President to immediately commence work on the La General Hospital and stop Ada Songhor Salt heist.
God Bless Our Homeland Ghana.
AMEN!
