LGBTQI in Ghana: Akufo-Addo urged not to succumb to pressure from the West

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been urged to take steps to ensure that the raging Lesbians, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex (LGBTQI) issue do not get any legal backing in the country. The President must also reassure Ghanaians that he is not willing to seccumb to pressure from western powers to sell out Ghana’s cherished values. He must safeguard the future of Ghana’s children from a perverse generation of vampires scheming to destroy.

This appeal was made by the Chief of Donkorkrom no.1 in the Kwahu Afram Plains North District, Nana Akuamoah Boateng Tano II, in an interview with Ghananewsonline.com.gh.

Speaking at his palace in Donkorkrom, the brave chief who is also a renowned enterprenuer observed that Ghana as a country is characterised with rich culture and traditional values that frown on activities of LGBTQI. He said even the Bible which later arrived in the country from the western world does not accept same sex marriage.

Sighting Sodom and Gomorrah in the Bible, the chief pleaded with the government not to invite the wrath of God since we as humans have no moral right to challenge God on his wisdom of creation.

Nana Akuamoah Boateng Tano II also supports the call for a comprehensive legislation to deal with the LGBTQI issues in Ghana once and for all so as to settle any future controversies.

The Chief of Donkorkrom no.1 charged the youth to be obedient and oblige by any Directives to be outlined by their elders in society. They should also not bow for the riches of the world, rather, they should work towards the salvation as the end is near.
