Former President and National Democratic Congress (NDC) flag bearer, John Dramani Mahama, has emphasized the need for a seasoned leader to tackle the country’s economic challenges.
During his recent campaign trail in the Volta region, the former President said, Ghana needs a tried-and-tested leader, rather than an experimental one.
The flagbearer of the NDC, who is seeking re-election as president in the upcoming December 7 polls, cautioned against the “try me” approach, referencing the current government’s 2016 campaign slogan and similar tactics used by the opposition.
He urged the youth to prioritize experience and expertise in leadership.
Mahama promised to focus on youth development if re-elected and encouraged young people to make informed decisions at the polls.
The former President’s comments come as Ghana prepares to go to the polls on December 7, with many tipping him as Ghana’s next President.
