Mahama worried about unemployment rate among youth

According to him, the situation portends a bad omen and can turn something different if nothing is done about it immediately.

The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has expressed concern about the level of unemployment among the youth in the country.

According to him, the situation portends a bad omen and can turn something different if nothing is done about it immediately.

He cited what recently happened in Kenya where some agitated unemployed youth took to the street to protest over the high level of unemployment in their country.

Mr. Mahama, however, assured that the next NDC government will focus more on job creation to reduce the unemployment rate in the country.

The NDC flagbearer was speaking at Wenchi in the Bone Region while engaging chiefs and their people.

He took advantage to explain his policies to them.

The former president is currently in the Bono Region, campaigning ahead of the December 7 general election.
