Majid Michel was born on September 22, 1980 in Cantonments, Accra, Ghana, West Africa. He’ll be 44 years old this year. His father, Mr. Michel Erawack, is a Lebanese businessman and his mother, Mrs. Paulina Olympio, a Ghanaian. He has nine siblings.
Majid Michel attended St. Theresa’s Primary School before proceeding to the Mfantsipim School.
Majid Michel started his acting career professionally in 2000 where he played Shaker in the television series “Things We Do For Love”. Due to his outstanding performance in “Things We Do For Love”, Majid Michel was cast in his first movie “Divine Love”, as a male lead character starring Jackie Appiah, Van Vicker.
In 2009, he acted the lead role in the Ghanaian movie “Agony of Christ”, directed by Frank Rajah Arase and starring Nadia Buari, Yvonne Okoro, Eddie Nartey, Kofi Arjorlolo, amongst others.
In 2009, Majid Michel made his Nigerian Nollywood debut in the romantic drama movie “Emerald”, playing a leading role alongside Genevieve Nnaji.
In 2010, he starred in the Nigerian movie “The Game”, directed by Frank Rajah Arase and starring Yvonne Okoro, Yvonne Nelson, John Dumelo.
In 2013, Majid Michel played Freddie Dan Ansah in the Ghanaian comedy movie “House of God”, produced by Yvonne Nelson and written and directed by Pascal Amanfo.
In 2014, he played Chude Nwankwo in the Nigerian thriller drama movie “Brother’s Keeper”, directed by Ikechukwu Onyeka, and starring Omoni Oboli, Beverly Naya and Barbara Soky.
In 2016, Majid Michel explained that despite playing mostly romantic roles in films, he has never had a sêxual relationship with an actress.
In October 2017, he explained on a radio interview that due to his religious beliefs, he will no-longer accept to play character that requires him to kiss on set.
