Majority Leader urges unity among NPP members for December polls

He emphasized that such engagement is crucial to achieving the party’s goal of an 80% victory in the Effutu Constituency.

Mr Alexander Kwamena Afenyo Markin, the Member of Parliament for Effutu Constituency in the Central Region and Majority Leader in Parliament, has called on New Patriotic Party (NPP) members to overcome internal differences, unite, and work diligently to secure a victory in the upcoming December elections.

Addressing party members, Mr Markin urged them to disregard those advocating for a “skirt and blouse” voting pattern and to engage with members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and other non-NPP supporters.

He emphasized that such engagement is crucial to achieving the party’s goal of an 80% victory in the Effutu Constituency.

Acknowledging the current hardships faced by Ghanaians, Mr . Markin admitted that while the situation is challenging, the NPP has demonstrated better management compared to the NDC.

He asserted that the country’s circumstances would likely have been worse under NDC leadership.

The Majority Leader assured NPP members, particularly the youth, of his commitment to job creation and economic opportunities.

He also highlighted the significance of supporting Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, pointing out that an opportunity for an educated Muslim to lead Ghana might not come again.

He called on the Muslim community to rally alongside their Christian counterparts to ensure a decisive victory for Dr. Bawumia and the NPP.
