Former Vice President and 2024 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has visited the Blue Light Market scene at Adum in Kumasi to commiserate with traders.
Dr Bawumia visited the scene on Tuesday, March 25.
During interaction with the traders, he said “I want to appeal to the [Mahama] government to complete the 80% done Kejetia Market Phase 2, that we started but couldn’t complete.”
He also commended the Ghana National Fire Service for their bravery in dousing the inferno and urged all to be patient and wait for the final investigative report on the course of the fire.

The cause of the fire remains unknown but it appears as if an explosion was heard from some of the burning shops.
