The Honourable Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ablekuma North constituency, Sheila Bartels, has presented assorted provisions and cash tokens to some underprivileged students from her constituency. The presentation, which took place at a brief ceremony on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, was made to 200 of the recently admitted Free SHS students.
According to the MP, free SHS is a top priority for the current government because it is the surest way of empowering Ghanaian children to achieve their dreams. She was therefore keen to support the policy by supporting these students from underprivileged backgrounds with the donated items.

“As you go to your various schools, I want all of you to be determined to complete and attend a university… For the next three years when you finish with your SHS, I will still be here; and when you are going to the university, all 200 of you, I will pay your admission fees,” she said.
The ceremony which took place at the Been-to Events Centre within the constituency was witnessed by a few high-ranking New Patriotic Party (NPP) and local government officials such as Hon. Kofi Ofori (MCE), Hon. Edmund Lomo (Presiding Member), Hon. Joyce Acheampong (Government Appointee), and Madam Afia Agyemang (NPP Constituency Women’s Organizer).
