MP for North Dayi supports 500 new SHS Students with Prospectus

The joyous students and parents took home students' mattresses, lockable chop-boxes, buckets, school bags, exercise books, blankets and many consumables.

 

Member of Parliament (MP) for the North Dayi constituency, Jocelyn Tetteh has supported over 500 students who have qualified to enter Senior High Schools with prospectus worth thousands of Ghana Cedis under her ‘back to school with joy project’.

The joyous students and parents took home students’ mattresses, lockable chop-boxes, buckets, school bags, exercise books, blankets and many consumables.

The Member of parliament, on 4th March 2023 rolled out the second edition of the project which saw beneficiaries from all the nine traditional areas in the North Dayi District benefiting.

The ‘Back to school with joy ‘ project is meant to assist young graduands from Junior High schools in the North Dayi Constituency who had gained admission into any Senior High school in the country to secure some, if not all the items on their prospectus.

A statement issued and signed by the Constituency Communication Officer for North Dayi Constituency, Asante Anku Justice, said “the back to school with joy project is one of the many heavy investments the MP is making to boost formal education in the North Dayi Constituency”.

The recipient students were thankful to the MP for the gesture which had given them hope and promised to study hard to make her proud.

Parents of of the beneficiary students were equally grateful for the timely support to their wards during this difficult financial times.
