MP visits victims of Bishop Herman fire

Honourable Member of Parliament for the Kpando constituency, Della Sowah, has visited some staff of Bishop Herman college who were affected by a recent fire in the school.

Fire gutted a portion of the school building recently and affected some staff.

The victims who are teaching staff lost all their possessions

The MP, who got a hint of the sad development while away from the constituency, later paid a visit to the victims and sympathized with them. She also assesed the extent of damage caused by the fire.

Mrs Sowah, was taking round the affected properties, by the Assistant Head of the college Ms. Stella Dzodzobu.

She called on benevolent organisations and individuals to come to the aid of the victims whom she described as “hard-working teachers.”

The MP also commended the students who helped to put out the fire and saved lives of the children who were in the house.
While sympathising with the victims, Mrs Sowah also encouraged them to be strong despite the loses and rebuild quickly.

The MP also used the opportunity to reaffirm her commitment to working with the school authorities on various fronts for the development of the school.

She was accompanied by some constituency executives led by Godfred Agbeteti, the Constituency Chairman.

Boateng, who spoke on behalf of the victims thanked the MP for her concerns and sympathy.
