Things got messy on Tuesday afternoon between some civilians and armed military men deployed to maintain peace at Ejura in the Ashanti Region when the military men ended up shooting two people. They have been confirmed dead and several more have sustained multiple injuries.
Currently, there is rising tension across the country, especially with President Akufo-Addo’s refusal to comment on the matter in his position as the commander in chief of the Ghana Armed Forces and the leader of the country.
Reacting to the issue, actress Yvonne Nelson has sent a message to President Akufo-Addo via her Twitter account.
In her tweet the “House of Gold” actress said the President would be remembered for all the things happening under his watch.
In a related development, award winning rapper, Trigmatic, has also added his voice to the call describing it as needless the deployment of the military to kill civilians who were just asking those they pay with their taxes to listen to their plights and attend to their needs
