Nana Kwame Bediako explains why Mahama’s 24 hour policy can’t work

“The future of Ghana and Africa will be based on industrial revolution and is about to start, that is us making sure that we manufacture our resources so we don’t go out there to buy it again because the people who are taking our resources, bauxite, we go back to China to buy aluminium and bring it back after they go and refine it.

The leader of the New Force movement, Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Freedom Jacob Caesar or Cheddar has explained why a 24 hour shift is the best way to create jobs for Ghanaian people.

According to him, the best thing to do is invest and improve the industrialization which is the tool to create jobs for the Ghanaian people.

He said there is no way former president and the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama’ 24 hour policy can work if the country doesn’t have industrial power.

“These processes, one, two, three can create 100, 000 jobs in a plant or two plants because these plants are robots, they work 24 hours meaning that people will start working in 8 hour shifts. I don’t agree to any 24 hour policy, I agree to a 24 hour shift if we have industrial power. I don’t know any 24 hour policy you are talking about. I wouldn’t be here saying what I don’t know, I am only talking about what I understand and what I know is best in terms of industralization because if people work from 8 to 6 and there is another person coming to take over the shift from 8 to 12 and is going on.” He said in an interview on TV3 monitored by Elvisanokyenews.com.

“For me, my interest is the three ways of creating jobs and so the workers are 10,000, by 8 to 6, you will have anither 10,000 coming after so instead of creating 10,000 jobs now is 30,000 jobs and I think is happening everywhere in the world that is well developed, they have their industrial areas and they create a lot of things and sell to the world.” He added.

The businessman lamented over past and present governments inability to manufacture the numerous resources in the country into finished goods and still go to different countries and buy those things.

“The future of Ghana and Africa will be based on industrial revolution and is about to start, that is us making sure that we manufacture our resources so we don’t go out there to buy it again because the people who are taking our resources, bauxite, we go back to China to buy aluminium and bring it back after they go and refine it. So I don’t want to be able to introduce industralization and let our children, let the nation or our country learn how to turn the bauxite material to aluminum and then from there to aluminium.” He stated.
